New Kidd-Jones Convenience Store Under Construction

Local convenience store operator, Kidd Jones Oil Company, has purchased the Country Store located at the intersection of FM 849 and Interstate 20 near the entrance to the Hideaway Lake community. The Country Store building was demolished and a new Kidd-Jones store is being built on the site. Construction is expected to be completed around December 1, 2011. Chandler-based Kidd Jones owns and operates 20 locations throughout East Texas and is remodeling some existing stores as well as building new locations. The new Collin Street Bakery Restaurant is under construction at the same intersection.
